An AJP Accredited Jewellery Professional studying with the GIA and a De Beers Code of Conduct Diamond Supplier, with a degree in Criminology & Social Policy.
How long have you been at Gemporia, and how long have you been a presenter?
“Seven years, and this was my first presenting job.”
What is your earliest Gemporia memory?
“My first memory of watching Gemporia was when Lynn Jinks announced my engagement live on air and described how my fiancé Trev had got down on one knee on Christmas morning, and proposed to me with the ring inside a jar of Marmite.
“It’s a long story, but in a nutshell I am mad about Marmite!”
What is your favourite gemstone and why?
“Tanzanite or Paraiba Tourmaline - both of these I find completely mesmerising!”
Who do you admire the most and why?
“The Queen, because she’s incredible! She also has one of the best jewellery collections in the world.”
What is your favourite place in the world and why?
“The Maldives is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been to - it’s total paradise.”
What are your guilty pleasures?
“Wine and cheese, every time - oh, and I love PIE!”
What was your dream job growing up?
“Gosh, it used to change all the time. I studied Criminology because I wanted to be a criminal lawyer, then I wanted to be a policewoman, then a prison governor, then a pilot - then a presenter on Top Gear because I love cars!
“I certainly never thought I’d end up on shopping telly, but I couldn’t be happier - I love talking and I love jewellery!”
What advice would you give for choosing a piece of jewellery?
“If you see it and you LOVE it (and you can afford it), then GO FOR IT!”
What quote/motto do you like to live by?
“Be kind, be yourself, be happy and have fun!”
