How long have you been at Gemporia, and how long have you been a presenter?

“I’ve been at Gemporia for five years, and I’ve been presenting for eight years.”

What is your earliest Gemporia memory?

“My earliest Gemporia memory was on my second day at Gemporia as the Gem Collector Assistant. I told Alex McKay that I was a singer, and he put me on the spot live on air to sing everyone a song!

“Terrified, I gave my best rendition of a tune and the response was incredible! From that day I knew I had found family within both the Gems team and our beautiful customers.”

What is your favourite gemstone and why?

“How am I supposed to choose!? Okay, I will have to narrow down to the magnificent Anahi Ametrine because of its sheer beauty as two stones together. The purple Amethyst is my favourite colour and the Citrine is my birthstone - I just love it!

“I couldn’t leave out Baltic Amber though, I’ve been obsessed since discovering it in Jurassic Park 1993.”

Who do you admire the most and why?

“Angelina Jolie, with her smouldering sex appeal and love for luxurious jewels in daring designs - also reminiscent of Elizabeth Taylor and Lana Turner for their twist on elegance.”

What is your favourite place in the world and why?

“The Elephant National Park in Chang Mai, Thailand. I worked there as a volunteer in 2015 surrounded by the beautiful surroundings, culture and the most peaceful animals in the world.”

What are your guilty pleasures?

“Jewellery of course! My ultimate night involves sitting with a wheel of gems, eating Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream, and wearing a new pair of trainers that I’ve collected.

“If I could bring a car into that picture too then I would - I am a proper motor head.”

What was your dream job growing up?

“Presenting and singing have always been my two loves - then jewellery was my hobby if you like. I remember buying earrings with my pocket money from the age of nine, even though I didn’t have my ears pierced!

“I never realised I would be so lucky to combine my two passions!”

What advice would you give for choosing a piece of jewellery?

“Choose something that makes your heart sing. Jewellery is one of the most rewarding ways to express your true self and your personal style.

“Don’t worry about what the latest fashion is - be you, and you’ll always be fabulous!”

What quote/motto do you like to live by?

“As my mum would always say, ‘if all else fails, stay co-ordinated!’ - confidence is everything.”
