How long have you been at Gemporia, and how long have you been a presenter?

“I have been at Gemporia since the first night it opened - that was 17 years ago now!”

What is your earliest Gemporia memory?

“Doing my casting live on screen - I remember selling some jewellery or cookery items or something like that, and I had done about four different items before I suddenly got informed through my earpiece that I had the job!”

What is your favourite gemstone and why?

“I’m so fickle it changes all the time, but I guess my mainstay has always been Tanzanite.”

Who do you admire the most and why?

“Joanna Lumley has always been my pinup - I think she’s amazing. I love her curiosity for life and the vast, expansive travel that she’s done.

“Plus, she’s absolutely fabulous!”

What is your favourite place in the world and why?

“I will always adore Greece, Portugal and Thailand, because they all hold such precious memories. But England will always have my heart.”

What are your guilty pleasures?

“Definitely binge watching a Netflix series, or watching The Real Housewives of Cheshire.”

What was your dream job growing up?

“Being on TV.”

What advice would you give for choosing a piece of jewellery?

“Choose something that speaks to you, and something that you have a connection with. If it has value, that’s great, but it’s mostly about what attracts you to the item.”

What quote/motto do you like to live by?

“Today is the first day of the rest of your life.”
